We are looking for a results-driven and strategic
Director of Business Development
with a strong background in the
payments industry
and deep understanding of ISO operations. This role will be responsible for driving new business growth, leading partner relationships, and supporting internal teams in achieving key sales goals.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
Achieve and maintain agreed live sales targets to qualify for performance-based bonuses.
Work consistently toward quarterly and overall sales objectives.
Proactively introduce new sellers through personal networks and professional platforms such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Re-engage inactive sellers through direct communication, meetings, and compliance reviews.
Marketing & Lead Generation:
Drive engagement and brand visibility across social media by developing innovative campaigns and improving content strategies.
Maintain an active social media presence with regular posts across platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
Conduct ongoing market research, competitor analysis, and pricing reviews to identify new business opportunities.
Follow up on marketing leads to support conversion into active sales.
Internal Team Collaboration:
Provide strategic insights and contribute to improving internal team efficiency and processes.
Identify and implement software tools or innovations to enhance application and finance workflows.
Support training initiatives for team members in key areas such as SEO, content marketing, and online reputation management (e.g., blogs, Google Reviews, Trustpilot).
Lead regular meetings with senior management to review progress, discuss strategies, and outline actionable plans.
Collaborate closely with the internal sales team to drive motivation and alignment with overall business goals.
Compliance & Operations:
Ensure all sellers remain compliant through regular reviews and adherence to internal processes.
Provide guidance on debt collection and manage recovery efforts where required.
Advise on effective data utilization strategies to help the team make better use of existing resources and insights.
Requirements
5+ years in business development or strategic sales within the
payments industry
.
Strong understanding of
ISO models
, merchant acquiring, and card payment systems.
Proven experience managing teams, creating sales strategies, and delivering results.
Familiarity with tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and CRM systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Solid grasp of digital marketing, social media, and content marketing best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
