Job Description

The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is Scotland's largest purpose-built conference, exhibition and live entertainment destination, home to the SEC Centre, the OVO Hydro, and the SEC Armadillo. Recognised globally for hosting events of scale and complexity, the SEC is embarking on an ambitious growth strategy under new leadership.
The SEC are seeking a Director of Development and Infrastructure to join the Executive team and lead the strategic direction of campus development and infrastructure. Reporting to the CEO, this is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and delivering the SEC's long-term vision, ensuring our venues, technology systems, and operational platforms are optimised, scalable, and future-ready.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving the development and execution of the campus masterplan and major capital projects.
  • Leading infrastructure strategy across transport, utilities, and digital systems.
  • Overseeing facilities management, sustainability initiatives, and compliance.
  • Managing budgets, procurement, and funding strategies.
  • Building strong stakeholder relationships and representing SEC at industry forums.
The successful candidate will bring:
  • Significant leadership experience in multi-use, live event environments, and expertise in managing major stadia, sports, leisure or entertainment developments from inception to completion.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with a proven track record in CAPEX planning and delivery.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative, results-driven approach.
  • Professional qualifications such as MRICS, CIOB, or APM are highly desirable.
This is a site-based role in Glasgow and offers an attractive remuneration package.
