Director of Engineering & Site Development - Europe



Introduction

: International Process Plants (IPP), the global leader in the supply of complete industrial plants, process systems and equipment, is seeking an experienced and dynamic

Director of Engineering & Site Development

for IPP's European and UK operations. The ideal candidate will oversee all operations in Europe, ensuring strategic growth, operational excellence and financial success. The role is both tactically hands-on and holds people management responsibilities. Candidates can reside in the UK or Germany.

Key Responsibilities:



Client and Plant Inspections: Conduct plant inspections and produce detailed technical reports, support client inspections and maintain strong client relationships. Acquisition Support: Assist IPP's global headquarters team in the acquisition of new facilities and equipment within Europe, orchestrating technical, business and legal aspects of deals. Site Development: Manage the redevelopment of sites acquired by IPP in Europe, including cost management, facility management and asset relocation execution. Financial Oversight: Oversee business finances, sign off on accounts and expenses and ensure financial goals are met. Leadership and Management: Lead and manage staff of 15 at IPP's main European facilities in the UK and Germany, developing European business strategies to drive growth and profitability. Sales and Strategy Support: Support European sales staff with strategy development and pricing, promoting IPP's value propositions.

Key Skills and Qualifications:



Technical Background: A background in chemical engineering is advantageous. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate and negotiate effectively. Management Experience: Proven business management experience, including finance, people management, and operations roles in the chemical engineering/process manufacturing industry. Ability to manage people while still being an individual contributor in certain functional areas of the role. Motivated and Flexible: Highly motivated, committed and flexible with the ability to adapt to changing business needs. IT Proficiency: Strong skills in the Microsoft Office 365 suite, preferably with knowledge of CRM software. Travel: Ability to travel up to 30% of the time, primarily within Europe.
