The Team
A&M Tax is an independent tax group made up of experienced tax professionals dedicated to providing customized tax advice to clients and investors across a broad range of industries. Director of Finance, EMEA Region will act as the EMEA regional strategic partner and advisor to the Head of Tax, EMEA and EMEA leadership team. This individual will report directly to the Senior Director of Finance with strong oversight from the Global CFO, A&M Tax (both currently based in the US). This individual will be accountable for driving global initiatives across all areas of finance including, but not limited to, expansion into new geographies, financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, financial operations, compensation administration, and training. This role will be responsible for directed work coming from the Senior Director of Finance, strategic initiatives from Global CFO, A&M Tax, Head of Tax EMEA, as well as self-directed work that identifies operational and efficiency opportunities in Finance service delivery. This individual will be expected to roll up their sleeves, understand financial systems and operations, and develop deliverables with strong attention to detail. This role will drive operational excellence and execution of strategic and important projects in Finance.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Drive strategic A&M Tax EMEA regional financial initiatives, ensuring alignment with A&M Tax's practice areas and key stakeholders across the business.
Partner with other A&M Tax Finance regional counterparts to ensure consistent global approach, knowledge sharing, and best practice opportunities.
Partner cross-functionally with regional business leaders, global operations teams, and EMEA central finance team to provide financial insights and support across various reporting lines, business units, and geographical locations.
Identify opportunities for process improvements in global and regional financial operations and lead cross-functional teams to implement enhancements.
Drive various special projects, leveraging a broad knowledge of different functions, including Accounting, Finance, FP&A, Billing, and Finance Operations.
Lead the development, implementation, integration, and adoption of new processes, systems, technologies for the region and globally ensuring they meet the evolving needs of the business. Ready and capable of rolling up the sleeves to execute on the development of the analysis and processes.
Assist in the preparation of presentation materials for leadership meetings
Educate tax professionals around the region on various financial processes
Partner with our business units to share best practices and benchmarks across the firm
Qualifications:
Previous experience in in operations, finance operations and/or consulting, preferably in professional services
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Engineering, Business or Accounting or similar discipline is required
Commercial and financial acumen and track record of operational improvement and innovation
An action-oriented approach and desire to roll up the sleeves and execute on variety of projects with strong attention to detail
Extensive skillset working with unstructured data and building complex data and financial models
Deep analytical skills with ability to translate data and trends into key insights and recommendations
Ability to handle multiple, concurrent projects as business requirements emerge and evolve
Experience in large, matrixed and global organizations
Experience organizing and working with multiple, cross-functional teams
Thrives in ambiguous environments and can resourcefully work through them
High level of accountability; self-driven and motivated
Excited to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical skills, including ability to think about complex issues using scientific/critical thinking approach to solve problems and make sound judgments
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced expertise in PowerPoint and Excel; collaborative Microsoft tools such as MS Teams, Planner, OneNote; and AI tools such as Copilot
Flexibility to work longer hours, notably in the 4th quarter (Oct-Dec)
Ability to quickly and effectively articulate and communicate information to A&M Tax Leadership
Willingness to travel as needed
