Reporting to the Executive Director of Resources, this role will provide strategic leadership for the Finance, Internal Audit, Procurement and Commercial functions.
This is a real opportunity to support the ambition of the Combined Authority and will contribute to delivering positive and impactful change across the Liverpool City Region. The immediate priorities will include preparation for bringing our bus network into public ownership and preparing the Combined Authority for the next stage of devolution through the Integrated Settlement. It is essential that the successful candidate will be able to make immediate progress on these key priorities.
As this is a key leadership role, you will be instrumental in ensuring organisational financial integrity through the delivery of strategic financial planning, advice, and provision of sound financial management frameworks. You will have the autonomy to drive forward change and respond to new challenges and opportunities for growth.

Evidence of operating at a senior finance leadership role in a Combined Authority
Significant experience of budgetary responsibility including the successful management of large and complex budgets and delivery of savings.
Experience of the public transport financial environment.
