About the role

:

As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will work closely with the CEO, Board of Trustees and Hospice Management Team to lead financial strategy across the organisation.This is a highly influential role - combining strategic leadership with hands-on financial expertise which plays a central part in shaping the future of the hospice.

What you'll be responsible for

Leading the development and delivery of the hospice's long-term financial strategy and annual budgets Ensuring robust financial controls, risk management and regulatory compliance Overseeing the preparation, audit and submission of charity accounts Providing clear, trusted financial advice to the CEO, Trustees and senior leaders

What we're looking for

You will bring a strong understanding of charity accounting, governance and regulatory requirements and be confident working with Boards and senior stakeholders.


You'll also bring:

A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) Significant senior-level finance leadership experience, ideally within the charity or not-for-profit sector Strong strategic thinking, combined with the ability to operate effectively at a practical level Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information for non-financial audiences A collaborative, values-driven approach that aligns with hospice care
