As part of our expansion, we are seeking a visionary Director of Funding to advance our fundraising efforts and secure vital financial resources through capital resourcing and grant development.

The Role:



As the Director of Funding, you will serve as a key member of the Project Yananai Global Executive Leadership Team, playing a pivotal role in shaping and executing our funding strategy. You will support the Chief Advancement Officer by driving fundraising initiatives, strengthening donor relations, and ensuring the financial sustainability of our mission

.



Key Responsibilities:



Strategic Funding Leadership:



Develop, implement, and refine comprehensive fundraising and capital resource strategies that align with Project Yananai's mission, vision, and long-term goals.

Funding Landscape Analysis:



Conduct in-depth analysis of the global non-profit funding landscape, identifying and evaluating opportunities for resource development to maximise effectiveness, efficiency, and impact.

Donor Engagement & Partnerships:



Cultivate, steward, and expand relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, foundations, government agencies, and financial institutions to secure multi-year and diversified funding streams.

Grant Development & Management:



Lead the entire grant lifecycle, from prospect research and proposal development to submission and reporting, ensuring strong alignment with programmatic objectives and compliance with funder requirements.

Financial Monitoring & Reporting:



Track fundraising performance metrics, analyse funding outcomes, and prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for the Chief Advancement Officer, executive leadership, and other stakeholders. Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing fundraising team, fostering a collaborative and accountable culture in pursuit of shared goals. Technology & Innovation: Leverage modern fundraising and data management technologies to streamline processes and enhance the effectiveness of funding initiatives.

Your Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional certification; advanced degree or project management qualification is an asset. Extensive experience in senior fund development, grant acquisition, or financial resource management, preferably within the non-profit sector. Demonstrated success in grant writing, capital fundraising, and managing fundraising campaigns. Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Inspirational leadership abilities with a track record of team development and stakeholder engagement. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Proficiency in funding research tools and fundraising technologies.
