We're on the hunt for an inspiring and experienced Director of Internal Communications to lead the voice of our most ambitious transformation yet -- Fit for the Future. This is your chance to play a pivotal role in a journey that will shape the way we work, connect, and thrive together.



What you'll be doing:


As our Director of Internal Communications, you'll be the strategic heartbeat of change communication at Merlin. Reporting to both the Global Director of Internal Communications and the Fit for the Future People Programme Director, you'll lead the communications strategy for our enterprise-wide transformation programme.



You'll be the storyteller, translator, and truth-teller -- ensuring every employee, from our frontline teams to functional experts, is informed, inspired, and empowered.

Build and deliver a compelling internal comms plan aligned with our global goals. Translate complex change into engaging, human stories. Partner with senior leaders to shape messaging and tone. Develop content for events, CEO updates, presentations and campaigns. Champion inclusive, accessible communication across every corner of our business. Use data and feedback to continuously improve how we engage our people.

Qualifications & Experience:

What you'll bring:


We're looking for a confident communicator who can hit the ground running, work at pace, and bring a spark to every message.

Proven experience leading global change communications for fast-moving, matrixed businesses. A natural storyteller with a strong eye for tone, clarity, and impact. Skilled at advising and partnering with executive leaders. Familiar with tools like SharePoint, Viva Engage, Teams and more. Able to manage multiple moving parts and deliver with agility. Empathetic, creative, collaborative -- and not afraid to challenge the norm.
