Director of International Development

and play a pivotal role in expanding our international footprint and enhancing our global impact.


Reporting to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Law), you'll lead the University's international development strategy, forging innovative and sustainable partnerships across Europe, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East. You'll spearhead the development of new programmes, oversee high-value online and global initiatives, and represent the University in senior-level meetings around the world.


You'll also manage our International Development Co-ordinator and collaborate across departments to deliver on key strategic goals bringing together Legal, Finance, Marketing and Academic teams to launch and grow partnerships that reflect our ambitious global vision.


The role offers a hybrid approach to our London Moorgate campus along with international travel throughout the year.


As Director of International Development, you will be responsible and accountable for:




Leading strategic planning and implementation of international and online partnership growth and managing and expanding existing partnerships. Developing new partner-led programmes aligned to institutional strategy. Work with the DVC (Law) to develop and oversee the implementation of the University's international partnerships strategy in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and/or the Middle East. Develop the product portfolio with new degree and pre-degree programmes to meet the needs of international partnerships. Negotiating contracts, managing financial planning, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance processes. Representing the University with government agencies, institutional leaders and external stakeholders. Delivering income targets through strategic alliances and diversifying our international offering.

Is this you?:



We're seeking an international development professional with Transnational education (TNE) experience who thrives on building relationships, leading projects across borders, and translating strategy into impact. Ideally, you will bring:


Commercial development experience in an international professional services environment. A track record of managing complex partnerships and creating new revenue streams in new jurisdictions. Confidence in engaging with senior stakeholders including government and institutional leaders. Proven track record in working with different agencies and organisations, including recruitment agencies and other HEIs. Knowledge of academic quality processes and an understanding of institutional risk, with reference to international students, partnership formation and institutional review. Strong knowledge of international education markets and academic quality processes. Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
