This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, progressive university to lead the Marketing & Communications function. Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor International and Marketing, the Director of Marketing and Communications is a critical leadership position for the University as we look to develop our 2030 strategy and continue to drive the role Marketing plays in the University\'s growth strategy.

Leading a team of more than 80 talented individuals, and managing a sizeable budget, you will be an outstanding senior marketing and communications leader with a people-centred approach and experience of leading in a large, complex organisation.

The Director of Marketing & Communications is responsible for developing and delivering an ambitious marketing, communications and advancement strategy spanning UK recruitment, marketing, insight corporate communications and external relations activities across all key markets, ensuring that market and data insight is comprehensive and utilised to support effective decision-making. They will focus on ensuring substantial recruitment and reputation growth aligned to core institutional priorities through the establishment of a distinctive and highly attractive educational brand and associated portfolio of courses, as well as engagement with primary internal audiences to ensure affinity, advocacy and growth aligned to the institution\'s vision and mission.

Skills and experience required:

We are looking for someone to provide inspirational leadership across the key functional areas in this Directorate which include, UK student recruitment, education liaison, events, student communications, digital and creative experience (including an in-house studio), corporate & brand marketing, PR, alumni relations and development, staff communications and engagement, social media and the ongoing development of the University\'s website. We are also looking for someone passionate about the transformative effects of higher education.

Qualifications required:

You will have a minimum of a degree or equivalent proven work experience.
