Reporting to: Principal

Job Summary



To proactively seek and maximise promotional and engagement opportunities for the college which meets ambitious growth targets and builds a positive reputation.

Lead the delivery of key marketing and communication assets including stakeholder newsletters, the corporate plan, the prospectus, social media messages and the website.

Lead student, stakeholder and corporate events including open days and graduation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities



Establish the college's main brand in the marketplace as the provider of first choice for post-16education, skills and apprenticeships across the region.

Design and develop highly effective user engagement strategies appropriate for the various audiences that meets recruitment growth targets.

Lead on developing and promoting a high-quality user experience, that reflects the college brand, to be adopted by all staff when interacting with the public, stakeholders and potential students.

Ensure internal and external college documents comply with brand guidelines.

Effective oversight of the college's external communications and reputation management through highly exceptional marketing materials and wider documentation.

Proactively use primary and secondary labour market research and other relevant data sources to inform the college's activity and planning strategies that identify new market audience and opportunities to achieve growth objectives, not limited to but including local competitor analysis, market research/share, demographic patterns, regional industry priorities, LMI and internal data.

Secure high-profile, supportive coverage in the local and regional media.

Closely liaise with the College's Videographer/Producer in relation to curriculum designed content.

Strategically lead students' recruitment events, ensuring the college secures a reputation for excellence in the sector.

Work with senior leaders and curriculum managers to inform and drive up undertaking their own tactical marketing, engagement and event activities appropriate for individual sector and relevant audiences.

Ensuring that marketing and internal communications are effective.

Promote college entries for national and regional awards and secure a good success rate.

Lead the strategic development and optimisation of the website and digital platforms across the college that deliver an outstanding and immersive user experience.

Using highly effective marketing campaigns and messaging that promotes inclusion that achieves growth and closes recruitment gaps for underrepresented groups.

Accelerate the production of the valuable content for the college's online presence, through the implementation of a highly innovative and creative digital marketing and engagement strategy.

Ensure the website is compliant with legal and accessibility requirements.

Ensure the college maintains contact with the alumni and that the 'Alumni Association' continues to develop.

Play an active role in the senior leadership team (SLT) contributing to the leadership of the college outside of marketing and engagement.

Inspire, motivate and enthuse staff across the college, promoting a culture of learning, professionalism, collaboration and innovation.

Inspire and foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the team, ensuring brand, marketing and engagement are of exceptional quality.

Manage the implementation of the marketing strategy and plans including taking ownership of the digital marketing plan, ensuring deadlines, budgets and corporate guidelines are met.

Provide leadership to the marketing and engagement team, communicating the vision, strategic direction and objectives of the marketing strategy.

Take a leading role in relevant committees, groups and projects, ensuring high levels of engagement with the marketing strategy and delivery of associated implementation plans.

Standard Responsibilities for all position



To participate in any college staff review/performance management processes involving the identifying and meeting of training needs for self and others.

To take appropriate responsibility to ensure the health and safety of self and others.

To pursue the achievement and integration of equal opportunities throughout all college activities.

To undertake any other tasks and responsibilities appropriate to the level of this post.

Senior Leadership



As a member of the College Senior Leadership Team, to participate in the formulation and implementation of College strategy and ensure that senior leaders are aware of, and briefed on, any developments and initiatives affecting Students and the skills agenda in response to local, regional or national developments:

To participate fully as a senior leader in the Senior Leadership Team by supporting the College Leadership ethos at all times.

To attend Governor's meetings as appropriate;

Identification, development and implementation of strategies, policies and processes to further the College's Mission, Vision, Aims and Objectives.

Identification and development of staffing, resource and information management initiatives and projects.

Promotion of the corporate values, ethos, systems, and processes of the College.

Management and development of management teams dedicated to the continuous improvement of performance.

General



To adhere to Health, Safety and Welfare policies and Equality and Diversity strategies, and to comply with all relevant legislation.

To undertake such other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with the level of seniority, as determined by the Principal.

The post holder will be expected to participate in staff appraisal activities both as appraise and appraiser, as required by College Policy.

Participating in the Duty Manager rota as and when required.

Taking personal responsibility for supporting, promoting and following all College policies in relation to health and safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity and data protection within the scope of the post.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 55,000.00-60,000.00 per year
