Job Description
Due to expansion Glazing Vision are looking to recruit a Director of Operations (engineering/manufacturing). You must have a degree in a relevant engineering discipline and have some experience in manufacturing. We are looking for someone to drive efficiency and quality in our factory. You must be able to demonstrate a career in manufacturing.
Overall Role or Purpose of the job:
Responsible for making sure all projects leave the building On Time in Full and to budgets.
Ensuring the smooth efficient running of the factory
Implementing sigma 6 and lean manufacturing techniques to improve factory efficiency (Production Engineering)
Driving projects through manufacture and installation using agreed programs with manufacturing.
Through Purchasing ensure all stocks are maintained and appropriate for manufacturing requirement levels (as determined, currently 6-week manufacture).
Responsible for supplier performance and auditing to agreed acceptable rejection levels. Ensuring that all suppliers meet Glazing Vision's quality standards.
Ensure Glazing Vision use the most cost-effective delivery means to deliver our rooflights around the UK, on time and in full.
Responsible for day to day Health and Safety of the factory
Salary 50k-60k per annum, dependent on experience
