The Role




We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Performance Marketing to lead our high impact performance marketing function. This role is responsible for the strategy, execution and optimisation of multi channel campaigns across global markets. You will manage and develop a cross functional team of specialists, driving customer acquisition and revenue through data informed, innovative marketing approaches.


Working closely with senior leadership, you will align performance marketing efforts with company wide strategic and commercial objectives, while continuously identifying new opportunities for scalable and sustainable growth.

Responsibilities:



Lead and expand a multidisciplinary performance marketing team, fostering a culture of ownership, impact and continuous improvement. Own the strategy and day to day execution of all performance marketing channels including SEO, Search, Shopping, Affiliates, Remarketing, Display, Social, App Installs and growth experiments. Stay ahead of industry trends and changes in marketing platforms. Use data, experimentation and consumer insight to test new growth approaches and refine existing strategies. Work closely with Product, Engineering, Finance and Partnerships teams to integrate marketing initiatives, improve efficiency and drive cross functional performance. Manage relationships with advertising platforms, agencies and other external partners to maximise return on investment and scale reach. Define clear objectives and key results for the team, ensuring each member understands how their work contributes to Lyst's wider goals. Take full ownership of reporting, forecasting and performance analysis. Foster a fast paced, results driven environment. Lead by example with a bias for action, accountability and high standards.

Requirements



A minimum of 7 years of digital marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role A proven track record of driving measurable results across multichannel campaigns (SEO, Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display, etc.), consistently achieving and exceeding performance targets Strong experience in building and structuring high performing teams, including recruitment, team development, and instilling a results driven culture Expertise in managing multimillion pound budgets and optimising large scale marketing initiatives to deliver sustained growth In depth understanding of attribution models, marketing analytics, and commercial frameworks for long term business success Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams such as Engineering, Product, Finance, Analytics, and Partnerships Highly analytical with a strategic mindset and a creative approach to problem solving Proven ability to mentor and develop teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and fostering an environment of continuous improvement Comfortable in fast paced, high growth environments, ideally in technology, ecommerce, or marketplaces Experienced in collaborating with technical teams to design and implement automation and scalable marketing solutions
