At Anchor, England's leading provider of housing and care for older people, we're seeking an inspiring Director of Sales & New Home Marketing to drive our ambitious national sales programme and elevate our market-leading services.


As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you'll spearhead the delivery of our sales and marketing strategies, ensuring high-quality homes are sold on time, within budget, and to the right customers. With a focus on innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping Anchor's future, fostering strong partnerships, and leading a talented team to achieve excellence.


What You'll Do




Lead with Vision

: Deliver our national sales programme, including outright sales, shared ownership, and secondary resales, meeting ambitious cost and margin targets.


Drive Strategy

: Develop and implement innovative sales and marketing strategies, informed by market research, to maximize opportunities and minimize risks.


Champion Customer Experience

: Ensure customers are at the heart of everything we do, delivering end-to-end service excellence and embracing new technologies to enhance our offerings.


Inspire Teams

: Lead and develop a team of 14, including the Head of Sales, Marketing Manager, and Digital Marketing Manager, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and high performance.


Build Relationships

: Represent Anchor at a senior level, forging strong partnerships with external agencies, local authorities, and regulators such as Homes England and the FCA.


Ensure Governance

: Maintain compliance with regulatory, financial, and group policies, while managing budgets of approximately 35m in annual sales receipts.


Innovate and Plan

: Contribute to Anchor's corporate strategy, horizon scan for market trends, and drive forward-thinking solutions to meet evolving customer needs.

Proven Expertise

: A track record of senior-level sales leadership in a complex, regulated business, ideally with property market experience.

Strategic Vision

: Strong financial acumen, with experience managing significant budgets and delivering data-driven market and trend analysis.

People Leadership

: A collaborative and inclusive leader with experience managing teams, driving performance, and nurturing future talent through coaching and development.

Customer Focus

: A deep understanding of customer needs and social trends, with a commitment to delivering outstanding services and embracing innovation.

Communication Skills

: Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and navigate complex stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

: Educated to degree level or equivalent, with marketing or sales qualifications being an advantage.
