Weve recently secured multiple strategic contracts, are actively expanding our engineering and delivery teams, and are looking for a technology leader who thrives on complexity, variety, and impact.
Role Summary
Were seeking a Director of Technology & Platforms to serve as our senior-most technical leader across both consulting engagements and our growing product/platform portfolio. This role is a blend of hands-on architecture, technology strategy, and cross-functional leadership.
You will be responsible for shaping and guiding technology decisions across:

• Enterprise delivery (ERP, CRM, cloud, app dev)

• Product platforms (AI, data, risk, genomics)

• Multi-cloud infrastructure and DevOps

• Emerging domains like semantic pipelines, large-scale AI, and digital twins

You will build the technical foundations for scale, quality, and innovation while mentoring teams and collaborating across product, delivery, and domain SMEs.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Leadership

• Define and evolve the technology vision and architecture strategy for both consulting solutions and platform/product development.

• Act as technical design authority for major client projects and platform builds.

• Serve as the senior technical face of the business in pre-sales, architecture reviews, and executive meetings.

Hands-On Architecture & Engineering

• Architect complex solutions spanning frontend, backend, cloud, data, mobile, and integrations.

• Lead end-to-end technical designs for enterprise implementations (e.g., ERP/CRM, cloud-native solutions, AI/ML pipelines).

• Drive architecture blueprints and technical standards across projects and products.

Product & Platform Leadership

• Collaborate with domain experts and internal stakeholders to shape product features, roadmaps, and user experiences.

• Translate product vision into scalable technical architecture for platforms like VE3 RiskNext, Genomix, and PromptX.

• Champion technical debt management, DevOps maturity, observability, and maintainability.

Delivery Oversight & Execution

• Oversee high-priority implementations and technical delivery across multiple projects or squads.

• Act as escalation point for engineering challenges, quality, and risk management.

• Drive reusability and platform thinking across solutions.

Leadership & Talent Development

• Mentor, coach, and inspire technical leads, engineers, and architects.

• Support the recruitment and onboarding of technical talent, building a high-performance engineering culture.

• Lead knowledge sharing, architecture review forums, and continuous capability improvement.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Represent the company in technical discussions with clients, partners, vendors, and industry forums.

• Support pre-sales, bid responses, and technical solutioning for new opportunities.

• Align technology decisions with broader business strategy and client objectives.

Key Requirements
Core Experience & Track Record:

• 10+ years in technical leadership, architecture, and software engineering roles.

• Strong hands-on experience designing and building systems across frontend, backend, cloud, and data stacks.

• Proven delivery in both consulting settings (enterprise clients, project-based delivery) and product/platform development.

xc2xb7 Demonstrable ability to own the end-to-end technical vision and execution for complex projects.

• Experience owning architecture across at least two major domains: e.g., ERP, cloud platforms, or AI solutions.

Technical Breadth:

• Fluent in modern languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java/C#, SQL)

• Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and IaC (Terraform, Bicep)

• Familiar with AI/ML, MLOps, and data analytics (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, TensorFlow/PyTorch)

• Exposure to enterprise platforms (SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, etc.)

xc2xb7 Knowledge of mobile app development (native and cross-platform) is a plus.
Product/Platform Alignment:

• Experience working with cross-functional product teams xe2x80x94 designers, PMs, SMEs, marketers

• Ability to shape MVPs, prioritise features, and balance product-market fit vs. technical feasibility

• Comfortable building scalable, multi-tenant platforms

Leadership & Communication:

• Strong strategic mindset and ability to align technical execution with business goals

• Excellent communication skills xe2x80x94 able to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders

• Experience mentoring engineers, building culture, and enabling scale-up growth

Nice to Have

• Prior experience in healthcare, energy, or financial services

• Familiarity with semantic pipelines, knowledge graphs, or LLM-driven architectures

• Exposure to cybersecurity, data privacy, or regulatory frameworks (NHS DSPT, ISO27001, etc.)

• Experience in R&D product environments or incubator-style ventures
