The Director/Sr. Director Homecare Development & Growth Opportunities WEU is responsible to develop and articulate an overarching Homecare strategy for Western Europe initially focused on delivering Nutrition, Antibiotics and Oncology Drugs outside of the hospital setting.

This person will then work with each Cluster / Country to articulate specific opportunities to grow and maximize sales through this channel. The role will also specifically identify potential synergies and best practices across countries together with additional short and mid-term new business opportunities in Western Europe working closely with the WE Leadership team. Within a matrix organization, they are responsible to ensure alignment with global BD initiatives and drive forward Western European ideas onto the global prioritization agenda. An important part of the role will be to stay at the pulse of the external discussions as well as future advancements in homecare, how Baxter can lead/own the space as well as the value-add specifically the digital platform evolution across the patient pathway from hospital (source business) to home. Leading complex projects with customers and internal partners are a required element for the role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Defines the overarching homecare strategy for WEU for the next 5 years for our therapies
  • Explore opportunities to leverage internal and external best practices or existing technologies (e.g. BDHP), , identify new product / service /partnership opportunities /software tools and develop strategic and operational plans in line with the direction provided by the VP & Cluster BUH
  • Ensure that while preserving the current business and legacy solutions and support each Cluster to have a Homecare Growth plan that aligns with the broad strategy and reflects local market differences
  • Articulate the value proposition of the Homecare business, promoting the high-quality integrated care model and the innovation technology through digital health and connected care for WEU
  • Shape a culture of inspiration for the Homecare business in WEU and connect with the Global MPT team and other global stakeholders to be strategically aligned and to develop scalable ideas
  • Build up and Lead partnerships with Regional Institutions and Healthcare Associations in promoting high quality integrated model in following patients pathway from diagnosis to delivery of care through a sustainable and value based approach.
  • Drive complex homecare expansion projects with internal and external stakeholders
  • Scan the market of Homecare partners and explore market access and investment ideas.
  • Beyond Homecare, Identify additional short and mid-term new business opportunities \xe2\x80\x98bolt on\xe2\x80\x99 or \xe2\x80\x98tuck in\xe2\x80\x99 in Western Europe working closely with the WE Leadership team and aligned within the Global MPT strategy framework and Global BD and strategy team. These could involve local acquisition targets of companies or products, distribution deals, strategic pharma partnerships, service partners , software partners etc.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Commercial / Finance or similar background combined with over 10-years-experience in Healthcare
  • Experience in complex projects and their governance with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in process excellence, agile, six sigma Deep knowledge and experience in the Healthcare environment
  • Business Acumen and strategic and visionary thinking
  • Top communicator, influencing, negotiation and collaboration skills as well as critical thinking & project management skills cross-culturally
  • Proactive and results-driven Deep knowledge Patient pathway and therapeutical pathway
  • Leadership and matrix management experience
  • Ability to embrace and adapt to change, to manage and succeed in ambiguity, mature approach
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work on projects
  • High attention to detail and good analytical skills
