About the role:



As a Director, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the UK go-to-market strategy for Responsible AI, Ethics, Security & Trust. This includes developing thought leadership, building/enhancing proposition offerings (including designing tech assets), working with tech alliance partners, building executive relationships, securing new business, and overseeing high impact delivery that helps clients meet growth, risk and regulatory outcomes through AI innovation.



You'll knit together PwC's AI strategy across workforce, risk, cyber, data, change, engineering capabilities to deliver trusted, compliant and value-creating AI.



Key Responsibilities:



Shape differentiated propositions spanning AI governance, security, ethics and fairness, model risk & assurance, ISO/IEC 42001 readiness, NIST AI RMF adoption, regulatory readiness (EU AI Act trajectory, UK supervisors' expectations) and "trust by design" in GenAI / agentic AI platforms.

Build and manage C-suite relationships (CRO, CDO, CIO, CCO, CAIO) to shape multi-year transformation programs across the three lines of defence (governance, risk, controls) and digital transformation underpinned by AI Trust.

Collaborating and leading complex pursuits, shape commercials and adhere to risk management and quality procedures.

Develop pipeline with ecosystem partners (hyperscalers, model providers, MRM platforms, monitoring/observability/guardrail vendors). Partner with Marketing and Alliances.

Stand up cross-firm offerings (assessment design build execute run) for Responsible AI, including:

Enterprise AI governance operating models, policies and control frameworks mapped to NIST AI RMF and ISO/IEC 42001.

Model risk & AI assurance, documentation, testing (bias/robustness/privacy), monitoring & incident management.


+

Regulatory readiness across priority FS risk and conduct domains aligned to supervisory expectations.


+

"Trust by design" patterns for GenAI apps/agents (safety, transparency, data protection, human-in-the-loop).


+

AI red-teaming and adversarial testing approach working with cyber security and model risk


Serve as delivery lead and SME on flagship programs, ensuring delivery quality, value realisation, and client satisfaction. Build repeatable assets including accelerators, capability model, and take them to market.

Grow, lead and coach a diverse team across AI risk, data management, science, security and engineering.


Skills and Experience:



Enterprise impact: Advanced experience in FS consulting/industry experience in leading AI, data, analytics or model risk programs; track record converting strategy into scaled, governed AI solutions in regulated environments (banks/insurers).

GTM excellence: Proven originator/closer of m+ annual personal pipeline; experience running multi-tower pursuits with alliances.

Responsible AI depth: Built or assessed AI governance/controls aligned to recognised frameworks (NIST AI RMF 1.0 & 2024 GenAI Profile; ISO/IEC 42001).

Regulatory fluency: Comfort translating supervisory expectations into operating controls and assurance in FS (UK/EU context).

Leadership: Built cross-disciplinary teams; operated at C-suite/Board level; outstanding communication and stakeholder management.

Delivery oversight: Steered complex AI programs from policy design through engineering and controlled deployment, including model monitoring and LLM safety.


Desirable



Experience with leading and implementing FS AI use cases (KYC/AML, financial crime, credit risk, pricing, customer ops, claims, fraud etc).

Familiarity with model governance/MRM platforms and GenAI monitoring/guardrail tooling.
