Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs. Barbara Rose is a small home in Ruddington where we accommodate five service users. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting clients' independence, wellbeing, and daily routines within a variety of care needs.. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through personalised support and care.

Duties



Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility Support with medication administration in accordance with care plans Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements Manage behaviour and implement strategies de-escalation techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and client progress Drive clients to appointments, social activities, or outings as required Assist with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe and clean environment Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and review personalised care plans Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental wellbeing Monitor health status and report any concerns promptly

Experience



Previous experience in forensic learning disability with autism and schizophrenia is required, previous experience in , supported living environments is highly desirable Knowledge of medical terminology, medication management, and patient care procedures Experience in caring schizophrenia is required. Certification in first aid is preferred but not essential; training can be provided if necessary Full training will be provided. Familiarity with behaviour management techniques and case management practices is beneficial Valid driving licence is an asset for roles involving client transportation

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 - 50 per week
