Job Summary

Murdoch's is looking to recruit a full-time Dispatch Operative to ensure our customers receive the right award-winning meat and pastry products at the right time. Occasionally this will include Relief Van Driving for local deliveries across Moray and the Highlands.

35-40 Hours per week (full time)

Must have clean and valid UK driving licence

Must be fit and able to lift crates, load vans and work in a chilled environment.

Murdoch's makes and delivers award-winning pies and meat products to convenience stores and supermarkets across Moray and the Highlands, as well as fulfilment of orders for online UK distribution/collections. Murdoch Butchers is certified by SALSA, operating to the highest food standards set out for small businesses.

As part of the dispatch and delivery team you will carry out all aspects of picking and packing of refrigerated goods for dispatch. You will be required to work in a chilled environment and drive a delivery van for multiple drop-offs in the local area.

As a key member of the dispatch team you will be required to:

Communicate with other team members in the supply chain Pick and pack orders from picking sheets accurately to a strict time schedule Handle refrigerated goods in chilled areas Lift/ move crates and other and manual handling duties Carry out quality checks and complete all relevant records Follow strict instructions and procedures Maintain hygiene and quality standards Keep crates clean, organise the dispatch area and other general housekeeping Drive delivery vans including housekeeping/cleaning of vehicles
We are a relatively small team manufacturing and handling a high volume of products. At busy times the role may require working in production areas where products are manufactured and packaged for retail or wholesale.

Rate of pay from NMW 12.21 per hour (Based on age). Includes work trial and three month probation period. Full training will be provided on the job. Additional hours may be available at busy times.
