Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatch Operator to join our logistics team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain processes. This position involves managing transportation logistics, coordinating shipments, stock checking and maintaining accurate records to support efficient dispatch operations.

You would also be aske to cover some machine operating on occasion.

Duties

Utilise transportation management systems to oversee and optimise logistics operations. Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, ensuring timely dispatch of goods. Maintain accurate data entry for all shipments, including tracking and documentation. Communicate effectively with drivers, suppliers, and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations. Conduct analysis of logistics processes to identify areas for improvement. Manage 3PL (third-party logistics) relationships to ensure service quality and efficiency. s. Assist with the preparation of shipping documents and labels as required. Maintain an organised workspace to ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

Proven experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role. Proficient in data entry with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. A solid understanding of shipping and receiving processes is beneficial. Typing proficiency is required for effective documentation handling.
