, based in Brighton (since year 2000), is an expanding wholesale artisan bakery. We have moved to our newly fitted and modern bakery 4 years ago, at the leafy location of Race Hill valley, Bevendean.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Delivery Driver to join our team with an immediate start and on a permanent basis.

This role requires excellent driving skills, strong organisational abilities, and exceptional communication skills to provide outstanding service to our customers.

We will expect the candidate to safely operate company vehicles, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.

The job will require the candidate to help with dispatching and then delivering breads, Cakes and other bakery products in one of our Company vans to various regular customers. We deliver daily in Brighton and throughout Sussex. In total, each morning to 6 different delivery routes.

Full training will be given. Uniform is supplied.

Our bakery offers a unique service by operating 7 days a week exclusively to the catering trade. We deliver to shops, farm shops, cafes, pubs, boutique hotels, private caterers, restaurants and other establishments.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced van driver and a good team player.

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a solid understanding of commercial driving procedures. Valid UK driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., Category B or C). Experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills to interact courteously with customers and team members. Organisation skills to manage routes effectively and ensure timely deliveries. A clean driving record and the ability to pass background checks as required. The job will consist of

Early morning dispatch and delivery,

2 am if dispatching, or 4am if just driving till 10 or 11am

approx. 5 shift per week including

Saturday and Sunday, 2 consecutive days off during the week( Wednesdays and Thursdays) But pre arranged weekends off are possible, occasionally

Extra hours available
Clean driving licence is essential.
