About the Role

Creffield Medical Group are seeking a qualified dispenser to join our team at our Nayland dispensary on a zero hours contract.

Working within the busy dispensary team, the main responsibilities of the role will include:
Accurately and efficiently process all relevant prescriptions as authorised by GPas and prescribing nurses where appropriate. Assist the dispensary manager in ensuring effective financial control of the dispensary. Ensure that all medicines and appliances dispensed are checked against the prescription. Collect all due prescription charges and ensure that the patient declaration on the reverse of the FP10 is duly filled in and signed by the patient. Process hospital letters. Process dossette boxes. Manage ordering stock and stock control. Answer and deal with dispensary phone enquiries. Monitor patients' exemption status. Sort and dispose of unwanted/returned medication. Any other duties to assist in the smooth day to day running of the dispensary and surgery as directed by the either the dispensary manager or practice manager.

You will have the following skills and experience:
You will have at least a Diploma Level 2 Dispensary Excellent clinical and medication knowledge Understanding and experience of working as a dispenser in GP practice setting The ability to be adaptable and flexible in your approach Excellent patient facing inter-personal communication skills
