An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dispenser to join our team at our Highams Park branch on a 42 hour per week contract, covering Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 08:30 to 18:30 and Saturday 08:30 to 15:00.

Our Dispensing Assistants are required to participate in the whole dispensing process from beginning to end. The role will also involve establishing and developing long term relationships with customers ensuring to always deliver courteous and effective customer service. You will be required to complete several key tasks to support the running of the pharmacy such as the management of the pharmaceutical stock and equipment and the administration of receiving, storing, maintaining, and issuing medication.
You may be required to deliver healthcare advice and signpost customers where necessary.

Personal specification - Ideally, we are looking for someone with the following:
NVQ2 in Dispensing is essential
Experience of working in a community Pharmacy environment.
Dynamic and extremely organised, good attention to detail and high levels of concentration.
Dedicated to the customer experience and customer care.
High levels of literacy and numeracy are essential.

Duties
Prepare and dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with healthcare regulations and pharmacy protocols.
Assist pharmacists and Managers with medication management, including stock control and inventory checks.
Provide clear instructions to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and storage requirements.
Support patient care activities by answering queries and offering guidance on over-the-counter products when appropriate.
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and ensure confidentiality of patient information.
Ensure the pharmacy environment remains clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient treatment plans and medication adherence.
