Overview
We are a busy, friendly dispensing GP practice serving a large rural population. Our dispensary plays a vital role in ensuring patients receive safe, accurate, and timely medication, working closely with clinicians and the wider practice team.
The Role
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Dispenser to join our established dispensary team. You will be responsible for the safe dispensing of prescriptions, stock control, and supporting excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
Accurately dispensing prescriptions in line with SOPs, legislation, and best practice Labelling, assembling, and issuing medication safely Managing and maintaining dispensary stock, including ordering and expiry checks Responding to patient queries professionally, both face-to-face and by telephone Recording activity accurately on the clinical system Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes
Experience
Essential
NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work calmly and accurately in a busy environment
Desirable
NVQ Level 3 in Dispensing Previous experience working as a dispenser in a GP dispensing practice Experience using SystmOne
