Job Description
Fully Qualified dispenser starting at 12.85 per hour.
We are a busy and popular rural GP Practice, operating over two surgeries on the outskirts of Newbury, within 15 minutes' drive of each other and easily accessed from the A4, M4, and A34. Due to increased demand, we are looking to recruit a fully qualified dispenser.
Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have the required skills for the role and whilst experience in a GP Surgery is desirable, training will be given to the right person.

Shifts commence at 8:00 to 1300 and 1300 to 18:30 plus occasional extra hours to cover annual leave and other absences.
We offer a comprehensive and supportive induction to all our new members of staff and for this position, ongoing support from the Management Team and senior surgery staff will also be provided. The hours are negotiable, but core hours would be in the range of 22.5-30 hours per week, plus cover with some early starts and late finishes. This role will be based across both our sites in Kintbury and Woolton Hill.

Job Summary and Purpose:
To work as a member of the dispensary team to ensure:
1. The smooth running of the dispensary.
2. The dispensary is kept properly stocked with supplies.
3. All medicines are prepared and dispensed accurately, safely and promptly under the doctors overall supervision.
4. Dispensary equipment is kept in proper working order, including the management of the refrigerator and protecting the cold chain.
5. Drugs and medicines are kept safely.
6. All legal requirements applicable to a dispensing practice and medicines are properly observed.
To hold a Dispensing Doctors Assistant Level 2 qualification.
