An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dedicated and friendly Dispensary Team at Swan Medical Group. We are looking for a Dispenser who can provide a professional, caring, and approachable service to our patients within a supportive and well-established primary care environment.

Qualified Dispensers holding an NVQ in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent).
Those interested in training for this role - full support and guidance will be provided to help you complete your NVQ qualification.
This is a responsible position that requires concentration, accuracy, and a keen eye for detail. You must be able to work and communicate effectively as part of a team in a busy, fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload and multi-task efficiently. Flexibility is essential to provide additional cover for holidays and sickness. Full training will be provided.
As part of our hardworking dispensary team, you'll play an important role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and friendly delivery of our dispensary services.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure the dispensary operates in a cost-effective and efficient manner, complying with Swan Medical Group policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
Facilitate effective communication between patients, clinicians, and all members of the healthcare team.
Order repeat prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
Maintain stock levels, manage product life cycles, and ensure the appropriate storage of medicines.
Handle patient and multi-disciplinary team enquiries professionally and promptly, both in person and over the telephone.
Label, dispense, and endorse prescriptions in line with Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the safe and accurate supply of medicines.
Order and monitor medication and stock in accordance with company procedures to meet patient demand, minimise waste, and ensure medicines remain in date.
Create and update patient medication records in compliance with data protection principles, maintaining strict patient confidentiality.
Check endorsements and patient declarations on prescriptions to ensure accurate processing and maximise reimbursement.
Process invoices and associated paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Undertake housekeeping duties to keep the dispensary clean, tidy, and compliant with hygiene and safety standards.
Work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility, reliability, and commitment to shared goals.
Contribute ideas to improve dispensary processes and enhance patient experience.
Carry out any other reasonable dispensing or dispensary-related tasks as required.
