Job Description
Gold Street Surgery is a friendly, patient?focused GP surgery committed to delivering high?quality primary care to our community. As our practice continues to grow, we are looking for an organised, reliable, and compassionate Dispenser to join our clinical support team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients. You'll work closely with GPs, nurses, and administrative staff to support the smooth running of our dispensary and maintain excellent standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
Dispensing medications in line with practice protocols and legal requirements Managing repeat prescriptions and liaising with patients regarding medication queries Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality at all times Supporting stock control, including ordering, rotation, and expiry checks Providing friendly, professional customer service to all patients Working collaboratively with the wider practice team to support daily operations
Essential Requirements
NVQ Level 2 Dispensary Services Previous experience working in a dispensary (GP practice or community pharmacy) Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team
Desirable
Experience using GP clinical systems (e.g., EMIS, SystmOne) NVQ Level 3 or willingness to undertake further training
