Job Description

Stickney Surgery is a busy dispensing GP Practice providing dispensing services to approximately 6200, patients from Stickney and the surrounding rural villages.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and committed individual to join our busy, friendly team.

Your main duties will include:

Dispensing acute and repeat medication Ordering and receiving goods Handling of Controlled Drugs Dealing with patient queries face to face and on the telephone Dealing with queries from other professionals/organisations General dispensary duties such as stock rotation, cleaning etc.

Essential Skills

NVQ 2 in Pharmaceutical Services or equivalent and have proven dispensing skills.

Desired Skills

Good communication skills Good listening skills Attention to detail Smart professional appearance Confidence in meeting/speaking to new people and conversing with ease Self-motivated & reliable Genuine interest in the sector Confidence using IT systems and knowledge of SystmOne would be an asset.
Previous experience in a GP practice/Pharmacy is desirable but not essential.

Hours: Part-time

Salary: 12.30 per hour and membership of the NHS Pension Scheme
