We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispenser / Trainee Dispenser to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medications to patients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a willingness to learn the intricacies of medication administration within a pharmacy setting. Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is advantageous but not mandatory for trainees.
Responsibilities
Accurately dispense medications according to prescriptions, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the preparation and administration of medications under the supervision of qualified pharmacists.
Provide exceptional patient care by addressing inquiries and offering guidance on medication usage and side effects.
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management.
Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the dispensing area, adhering to health and safety standards.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in pharmacy practices.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dispenser is preferred but not essential for trainee positions.
Familiarity with medication administration processes is beneficial.
Strong commitment to patient care and an ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
