Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Dispenser to cover maternity leave on a temporary basis within our pharmacy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting medication dispensing and patient care activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions accurately and efficiently Support medication administration processes under supervision, ensuring correct dosages and patient instructions Provide exemplary patient care by answering queries and offering guidance on medication use Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and inventory levels Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and confidentiality standards at all times Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes during the maternity cover period Support stock management, including ordering and storage of pharmaceutical supplies

Skills

Level 2 dispensing qualification Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care practices Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to minimise errors Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with patients and healthcare team members Ability to work efficiently under pressure within a busy environment
The working pattern will be set but cover is required Monday to Friday 08:00am - 18:45 In addition, you will be required to be flexible to help cover for colleague's absence where necessary.
