We are looking for a qualified dispensing assistant to join our Practice Team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy operations by accurately dispensing medications and providing excellent customer service.

The successful candidate will work 1 shift per week plus holiday and sickness cover.
Duties
Generate & Dispense repeat prescriptions
Dispense Acute prescriptions
Process & Dispense private prescriptions
Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
Manage and organise medication stock levels, ensuring proper storage conditions
Maintain accurate records of dispensed medications in compliance with regulatory standards
Use DispenseIT for checking/verification of dispensed items
Answer customer queries regarding medication usage, storage and advice within scope of practice
Ensure the pharmacy environment adheres to health and safety regulations and cleanliness standards
Experience
Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically
Good IT literacy, including familiarity with pharmacy management software or similar systems
Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to liaise confidently with colleagues and customers
Ability to work as part of a team
A proactive approach with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
