Job Summary

The Dispensing Assistant plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of our pharmacy. This position involves assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications by aid of a dispensing robot, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a well-organised environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our customers.

Duties

Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions accurately and efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and offering guidance on medication usage. Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring that all medications and supplies are stored correctly. Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with reordering as necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the pharmacy. Utilise IT systems for managing prescriptions and patient records effectively. Uphold health and safety standards while handling medications.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members. Leadership qualities that enable collaboration within a team environment. Proficiency in IT systems relevant to pharmacy operations is desirable. Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is an advantage but not essential. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of pharmacy.
