Job Description
Revel Surgery is a rural practice in Brinklow, Rugby with a patient list size of 8000, and dispensing list size of 4000.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Part-time Dispenser at The Revel Surgery.
Hours and working pattern: Wednesday PM, Friday all day. Approximately 15hours are required. Holiday and sickness cover when needed.
Formal training will be required to fulfil this role.
Main Duties of the Job
Job Summary - To process all relevant prescriptions as authorised by GP's where appropriate in accordance with the principles of good practice.
The successful candidate will need to work well in a team, be willing to follow agreed training programmes designed to help them reach a level of competency to fulfil their role and to undertake any necessary work as may be required and appropriate to maintain a high standard and efficient dispensing service.
To ensure that all medicines and appliances dispensed are checked against the prescription and whenever there is doubt seek advice form a GP
To collect all due prescription charges, ensuring that declaration on the reverse of FP10 is duly completed
To operate efficient stock control
To maintain full and accurate records of all dispensing transactions.
To take prompt action to any drug alerts
To undertake any necessary work as may be required and appropriate to maintain high standard efficient dispensing service.
Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
GCSE Grade A to C in English and maths or equivalent
Desirable
Qualifications in Dispensary work
Qualification/Experience in customer service
Experience in working ins a general practice setting
IT Skills
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From 13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 per week
