Overview
We are seeking a skilled Dispensing Assistant to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have a background in pharmacy work with an NVQ level 2 or 3 in pharmacy, and a passion for patient care. This role involves supporting the responsible pharmacist in dispensing medications, applying effective teamwork and ensuring high-quality service to our patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescribed medications accurately
- Provide excellent customer service to patients during medication collection
- Maintain a clean and organised dispensary area
- Help in stock management and ordering of pharmaceuticals
- Handle patient queries and provide basic medication information
- Support with medication administration tasks as required
Experience
- Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser is essential
- Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude towards patients
