We are seeking a dedicated and professional Dispensing Assistant to join our team. Duties
Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately according to prescriptions and protocols
Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient queries and offering guidance on medication use
Organise and maintain medication stock levels, ensuring proper storage and labelling
Support the preparation of prescriptions, including counting, packaging, and labelling medications
Maintain detailed records of dispensed medications in compliance with regulatory standards
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth workflow within the pharmacy setting
Uphold health and safety standards, including cleanliness and organisation of the dispensing area
Utilise IT systems to update patient records and manage medication inventories effectively
Requirements
Proven experience in customer service roles, ideally within healthcare or pharmacy environments
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients and team members
Basic IT literacy, including familiarity with pharmacy management software or similar systems
Demonstrated leadership qualities, capable of supporting team operations and managing tasks efficiently
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medication
Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative and independence when required
A recognised qualification or training related to pharmacy support is desirable but not essential
