The Deposit Protection Service (DPS), a division of Computershare, manages one of three Tenancy Deposit Protection Schemes across the UK. These government-approved schemes are designed to securely safeguard tenants' deposits in accordance with legal requirements throughout the duration of a tenancy. We're pleased to offer a 12-month fixed term contract for the role of Case Handler, you'll play a vital role within our Dispute Resolutions Team, managing cases for the Deposit Protection Scheme (DPS) on behalf of the UK Government. This position is an exciting opportunity to start your career in financial service and is integral to the success of our team. A role you will love



You'll be responsible for logging and progressing cases by gathering evidence in line with our terms and conditions. You'll independently manage cases, summarise evidence, handle administrative tasks, and process payments for end of tenancy disputes. This is a fully administrative position with no telephone duties required.Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Progressing each dispute case by gathering evidence and compiling hard or electronic files to pass to adjudicators Issuing adjudicator decisions to involved parties and making payments according to those adjudicators' decisions Logging each dispute transaction accurately, including evidencing emails, statutory declaration notices, and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions Ensuring the accuracy of all transactions to support the smooth function of dispute files and reduce transactional losses Maintaining a strong customer focus, quality, and regulatory compliance in all activities to encourage customer retention
This hybrid role offers a 35-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with a salary of 23,860. Candidates must live within a reasonable commute distance of our Bristol office (Bridgewater Road, BS13 8AE).
