Talasey Ltd are looking to recruit an organised and self motivated distribution centre administrator to join our team at our warehousing facility in Stallingborough.
The role will have responsibility for overseeing the smooth and efficient running of the distribution centre working with the Yard Operatives to ensure processes and procedures are adhered to and best practice is applied at all times.
You will need to be organised with regard to stock management, both inbound deliveries and outbound collections. You will be the link between the administration function and the operational team ensuring swift and accurate information along with the coordination of samples for internal and external customers.
Part of the role will require you to be pro-active with the operational team, so being comfortable working in a warehouse environment is essential.
Continual improvement and streamlining of the processes, procedures and systems in order to complete the day-to-day job and keep costs and wastage to a minimum is key.
Experience of working in a fast paced, customer facing, administrative environment is advantageous, but a high attention to detail is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure accurate data entry and record keeping using various software tools.
Manage administrative tasks including scheduling, reporting, and maintaining documentation related to stock movements and personnel.
Liaise with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to facilitate seamless operations.
Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations within the distribution centre.
Utilise computer skills to generate reports, track performance metrics, and improve operational efficiency.
Maintain excellent phone etiquette when communicating with clients, vendors, and team members.
Organise stock layout and storage solutions to optimise space utilisation.
Requirements
Proven office experience with strong organisational skills.
Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Google Workspace, and QuickBooks.
Administrative experience with data entry and clerical duties.
Excellent typing accuracy.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Knowledge of logistics or supply chain management is advantageous.
