We are looking for a Distribution Operative to join our team.
In this role you will support the delivery of pharmaceutical medications across multiple NHS and non-NHS outpatient and inpatient wards on the RSH site including Antelope House.
This role will assist in ensuring the timely delivery and collection of goods and services across the Royal South Hants Site. We are looking for someone to provide an efficient, accurate, flexible and cost-effective Pharmacy distribution service across the Royal South Hants Hospital site and external transport.
Part of this role will be to develop and maintain a culture of service improvement which promotes quality and safety and striving to do better. And you will actively contribute to team development on a routine basis

Main duties of the job
*To work under the direction of the Supply Chain Operations Manager and Supply Chain Supervisors
*To collect stock profiles from the wards and departments.
*To deliver stock boxes, TTO's, fluids and feeds to the wards and departments throughout the day.
*To collect controlled drug requisition books.
*To obtain a signature when delivering controlled drugs.
*To bag or box up for collection, Pharmacy products for outside units as per schedules.
*To notify staff on the ward or department of any fridge items delivered.
*To decant liquid nitrogen into flasks or cryoguns and then deliver to departments.
*To respond to Pharmacy and specimen collection requests using a mobile phone.
*To ensure during delivery of pharmacy products are kept safe and secure.
*To collect and deliver pathological specimens as per schedule.
*Demonstrates role to others.
*To assist in the delivery of stock and non-stock parcels to the correct location ensuring dated, written and printed signature are received during times of downtime.
*To advise to the Supply Chain Operations Manager regarding possible service changes and improvements.
*To maintain the working area in a clean and tidy condition.
*To undertake any other duties commensurate with the position.
