As the Distribution Sales Manager for the South region, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and strengthening distribution partnerships with merchants across your assigned territory. You will serve as a key point of contact for merchant distributors, ensuring alignment with sales objectives, product positioning, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Sales Development:
Execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue targets. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through merchant distributor channels in the South of the UK.
Specification Sales via Distribution:
Support the business's capability to provide specification sales via distribution, managing the process and ensuring merchants are equipped to deliver technical solutions.
Technical Sales Support:
Develop a solid understanding of the technical aspects of the Danosa product portfolio. Confidently communicate product features, benefits, and solutions to meet merchant customer needs. Provide high levels of service, supporting enquiries, follow-up meetings, and generating quotes.
Distributor Engagement:
Build and maintain strong relationships with merchant distribution partners. Support them with product knowledge, promotional initiatives (such as open days), and sales enablement tools.
Microsoft Tools Proficiency:
Utilise Microsoft CRM Dynamics 365 for reporting, communication, and pipeline management.
Market Intelligence:
Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback within the South region to inform sales tactics and identify growth opportunities.
Collaboration:
Work cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and product launches. Attend company meetings as required and fully adopt Danosa's guiding principles and procedures.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Commercial awareness and negotiation ability
Technical curiosity and willingness to learn product specifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms
Self-motivated and able to work independently across a wide territory
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, or a related field
Ideally, experience in industrial roofing or insulation
Experience in distribution or channel sales, preferably with merchants
Exposure to technical sales or solution-based selling (minimum 3 years)
