NPL is the UK's National Metrology Institute. Our role is to research, create and deliver the measurement infrastructure, which underpins the UK's prosperity and quality of life across many fields of industry. In this varied and busy role, you will work across the full breadth of our diversity and inclusion portfolio, managing and implementing projects and activities across a range of areas to deliver our Diversity and Inclusion strategy. While there are some projects you will work on collaboratively with the D&I Partner, others you will lead independently.



You will work closely with our staff led special interest groups, providing expert support to the leads to progress diversity and inclusion initiatives, while also working to support the wider business to take appropriate action in line with our D&I strategy. Awareness raising and education are key components of this role, you will play a central role in this managing and developing our Diversity and Inclusion SharePoint site and leading on our programme of events and communications.



To give you a taste of the role, if you were on board already you would be:


Forging strong relationships with our staff led special interest groups, allowing you to access representative voices to inform your work across a range of projects from continual improvements to strategic priorities. Leading on the planning and delivery of targeted D&I engagement activities and communications related to a range of diversity and inclusion topics, including celebration days like National Inclusion Week.
Working collaboratively with the D&I Partner to monitor both qualitative and quantitative information to assess progress against D&I strategy and to deliver against agreed accreditation's.


To succeed in this position, you should:


Have experience working on diversity and inclusion projects Have excellent written and verbal communication skills Have experience of designing and developing SharePoint sites and associated resources Be able to demonstrate strong project management and delivery skills Have an aptitude for innovative thinking and finding creative solutions Demonstrate the ability to understand situations from different perspectives and act with empathy.
