What you'll do:

We are seeking a visionary Divisional Chief Engineer to lead technical strategy, governance, and innovation across our Actuation and Air-to-Air Refuelling product lines, with additional oversight of Environmental Systems.


You'll act as a subject matter expert, drive engineering excellence, mentor talent, and collaborate across functions to deliver world-class aerospace solutions.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead complex, multi-component engineering programs with divisional-level influence, ensuring technical compatibility, compliance, and performance Own and drive engineering technical roadmaps, aligning innovation and technology development with customer and business needs Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across Environmental, Actuation, and Air-to-Air Refuelling product lines, contributing to Mission Systems Division (MSD) and Aerospace Group growth Provide technical governance and signatory approval for design integrity, program reviews, and adherence to robust engineering processes Champion Eaton Aerospace Common Engineering Standards (ACES) and lead gate reviews, RCCA activities, and Non-Advocate Reviews Drive best practices across our engineering disciplines, mentoring teams and ensuring quality of technical deliverables Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and customers, anticipating future trends and representing Eaton in external technical forums Promote and teach Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools, lead technical mentoring, and support cross-site engineering audits and reviews
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution Proven track record in leading large, complex engineering programs Extensive experience in a high level engineering role ideally in aerospace, defence or high-tech industries, including new product development and sustaining support Extensive experience in mechanical components and systems
Skills:
Strong analytical skills across complex systems including mechanical design, test, project management, structural and fluid analysis, and electrical design Strategic thinker with high creativity and technical depth Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders
