POSITION OVERVIEW
The Divoter plays a critical role in maintaining the quality and playability of the golf course by repairing divots on tees and fairways. This position is a part-time / seasonal role which may involve early morning or evening hours to avoid disrupting play. The role supports the course's aesthetics and turf health, ensuring a top-tier experience for golfers. This role would suit someone who is looking for very occasional hours and enjoys being outdoors in a stunning landscape environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Fill divots on fairways, tees, and practice areas with sand/seed mix.
Inspect playing surfaces for damage and report larger issues to supervisors.
Maintain and clean divoting equipment, including utility carts and hand tools.
Mix and load divot sand or sand/seed mixtures as required.
Operate light utility vehicles safely and responsibly.
Follow all golf course rules and safety procedures while working around players.
Occasionally assist with other groundskeeping duties such as raking bunkers or debris cleanup.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
No prior experience required; training provided.
Strong work ethic and good timekeeping skills
Works well with others, contributing to shared Cabot goals and fostering a collaborative environment
Good fun to be around and enjoy working in a tight knit team
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow and wind.
Ability to spend long hours moving around, walking, sitting, standing, kneeling, reaching, shoveling and/or raking.
Early morning starts or evening hours to avoid disrupting play
