The DIY & Plumbing Shop is seeking a versatile and motivated individual to join our team. This role involves assisting customers with their DIY and plumbing needs, managing stock, and supporting the workshop with various tasks. Responsibilities

Assisting customers with selecting appropriate tools, parts, and materials for their projects Operating hand tools, power tools safely and effectively Performing basic plumbing repairs and installations as required Supporting assembly tasks for various products and equipment Managing stock levels, organising shelves, and ensuring the shop floor remains tidy and well-stocked Conducting minor repairs or modifications using carpentry skills and mechanical knowledge Assisting with heavy lifting of goods and equipment to ensure safe handling practices Maintaining safety standards by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times Supporting the workshop with general maintenance tasks as needed Occasionally assisting with commercial driving duties for deliveries or collections

Requirements

Proven experience or strong interest in welding, plumbing or electrical work Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and assembly techniques Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during projects Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Mechanical knowledge relevant to DIY projects and plumbing systems Experience with commercial driving is advantageous but not essential Strong organisational skills with attention to detail Good communication skills to assist customers effectively Willingness to learn new skills related to DIY tools, plumbing systems, and workshop operations
