We're looking for a detail-oriented and highly organised
Document Controller
to join our team. In this key role, you'll help ensure our documentation processes meet high standards of quality, reliability, usability, and performance -- supporting teams across the business and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
What you will be doing
To manage and control all project document flow.
Liaise with project teams, ensuring they have a full understanding of the document control procedure along with the CDE system procedures providing training and instruction as needed for the distribution of project information ensuring that stakeholders receive up to date information.
Maintain confidentiality around sensitive information ensuring accurate information management.
Provide feedback ensuring design and project managers are fully aware of all documentation issues.
To provide subject matter expertise and coaching on the use of common data environment software to relevant project teams and subcontractors.
Assist in managing project documentation.
Ensure all documents are up to date and the latest version.
Manage business archiving such that documentation is stored efficiently and can always be accessed and referenced.
Support the project team with document retrieval and distribution.
Maintain the document control system and ensure it is up to date.
Understand and conduct the role specific requirements of the Information Management Systems and help identify opportunities for improvement.
Prepare ad-hoc reports on projects when required.
Provide administrative support as needed.
What we will need from you
Excellent Administration skills
Experience of working with Common data environment platforms (CDE)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software
Previous knowledge and prior experience of the implementation of document management processes and procedures is desirable.
Previous experience of document control.
Basic understanding of BIM.
An ability to understand how the operations of the department relate to others and work collaboratively to obtain the best outcome for the business.
Possession of GCSEs/S grades and A levels in appropriate subject areas
National vocational qualifications (NVQ). - IT/Administration
Knowledge of ASITE, BIW, 4projects or any other document control system
