Job Description

Due to continued growth, Safelift Offshore ltd requires a Document Controller to join our renowned lifting and mechanical handling equipment team to support all of our product supply and engineered solutions.

You will be responsible for creating, managing and delivering documentation packages for client projects ensuring all documentation meets Safelift's standards, customer specification and regulatory requirements. You'll be part of a close-knit, knowledgeable team that values technical integrity, with opportunities to contribute to diverse and challenging offshore projects. Specific responsibilities will include

Produce, compile and maintain all project related technical documentation (e.g. test procedures, data sheets, design specification compliance, certification packs, quality plans and project dossiers) Liaise daily with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Management teams to gather, review, and finalize documentation requirements Ensure documentation complies with the relevant standards (ATEX, DNV, CE, etc) Act as a point of contact for documentation queries both internally and with clients Support continuous improvement in documentation processes, templates and control systems Ensure timely delivery of final documentation packages to clients Perform any other documentation related tasks or project support functions as required by the company to ensure successful project delivery and compliance.
As a Document Controller at Safelift Offshore Ltd, you must have the following skills:

Minimum two years experience in technical documentation, project engineering, or document control within the offshore, oil & gas, or engineering sectors Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications Confident communicator able to liaise across multiple departments to gather and verify information Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage workload across several projects simultaneously Strong understanding of engineering documentation types and their technical purpose Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Desirable

Experience of ISO 10855 / BS EN 12079 / DNV2.7-1 and some Crane, Lifting, and Mechanical handling knowledge would be beneficial HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related discipline
This is a hands-on documentation role for someone who understands technical contents and enjoys working across departments to produce accurate, complete, and high-quality project documentation. This role suits someone detailed and technically minded, who takes ownership of their work and can confidently coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to get documentation completed on time.
