The Doggy House is excited to announce this new exciting opportunity - we are now looking for an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team!
You will be working together with the Daycare Manager and senior staff for the day to day running of the dog daycare centre, with involvement in wide ranging operational elements, from taxi service to promotional media/ events, staff training and management. Working as part of highly dedicated team of animal lovers to provide a fun, safe, enriching environment for our fury friends.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supervising play groups
You will deliver the highest standards of dog care and ensure that the welfare of the dogs is a top priority.
Continually improve dog engagement and support carers where needed
Providing the highest level of customer service
Leading by example in professionalism and accountability for all policies and procedures
Assist the Daycare Manager with carers development and training for new carers
Provide engaging social media posts and reels
Organising and co-ordinating party days for occasions such as Halloween, Christmas etc and motivating others participation
Lead the Student Work Placement Programme
Keeping the play centre clean and identifying maintenance requirements
Provide cover for the Daycare Manager when required
Provide support to the management team when required
This role also includes some driving collecting/ returning dogs home in a company van.
Successful candidates should:
Have a minimum of 3 years working professionally with dogs in a similar environment
Have a minimum of 2 years experience managing a team
Have a desire to learn more about dog behaviour and socialisation
Have a positive and enthusiastic attitude
Possess strong communication skills and the ability to train and develop teams
Possess strong planning and organization skills, ability to multi-task and problem solve with attention to detail
Demonstrate that you are reliable and trustworthy
Have a passion for photography and social media
Have full UK drivers licence and be confident driving a medium sized van
Must be flexible to working hours, shifts range from 6 hours to 10 hours on Monday to Friday
Hours: Contracted to an average of 37 hours per week
Pay: 26,378 per year plus paid overtime and annual performance related bonus
