About the role:



This is a part time role. Daycare operating hours are: Monday - Friday, 8am to 6pm

As a Dog Daycare Attendant, you'll be instrumental in providing a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for dogs in our care. Your role will include everything from physical and emotional care to fostering positive relationships with owners, their dogs and ensuring the smooth operation of our daycare facility.

Responsibilities



Supervise daily daycare operations while delivering excellent customer service. Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic facility, adhering to strict safety protocols. Build strong client relationships by promptly addressing inquiries, concerns, and special requests. Develop and follow personalised care plans to support each dog's physical and emotional wellbeing. Care for a maximum of 4 dogs daily, including feeding, walking, administering medication, and conducting routine hygiene checks (fur, paws, pads, and hygiene areas). Engage in playtime and exercise activities to keep dogs active, happy, and well-socialized. Monitor dog behaviour and health, reporting any concerns promptly to the owner or team lead. Communicate effectively with dog owners about their pet's care and experiences at the daycare. Maintain accurate records of pet care routines, feeding schedules, and owner instructions. Collaborate with groomers to ensure seamless daycare and grooming services as needed. Handle occasional heavy lifting, such as moving supplies or assisting larger dogs.

Role requirements:



A genuine passion for dogs and a dedication to their wellbeing. Previous experience in animal care (dog daycare, pet sitting, shelters, etc.). Knowledge of dog behaviour, breed characteristics, and group play dynamics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Level 3 Animal Management qualification or equivalent. First Aid for Pets certification is preferred.
