Job Description


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dog Daycare Attendant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in dog care, a genuine passion for animal welfare, and a strong commitment to providing outstanding service to both dogs and their owners.

As a Dog Daycare Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, happiness, and wellbeing of every dog in our care. You'll help create a positive, enriching, and calm environment, supporting the smooth daily operation of our premium dog daycare.

Weekend shifts are not required.

Responsibilities



Supervise daily daycare operations while delivering excellent customer service. Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organised facility that meets the highest safety standards. Build trusting relationships with clients, addressing inquiries and special requests professionally Develop and follow personalized care plans to support each dog's physical and emotional wellbeing. Care for a maximum of 4 dogs daily, including feeding, walking, administering medication, and conducting routine hygiene checks (fur, paws, pads, and hygiene areas). Lead play sessions and enrichment activities to keep dogs active, social, and content. Observe and record dog behaviour, promptly reporting any health or welfare concerns. Communicate effectively with dog owners about their dog's day, behaviour and wellbeing. Maintain accurate records of pet care routines, feeding schedules, and owner instructions. Collaborate with groomers to ensure seamless daycare and grooming services as needed. Occasionally lift or assist larger dogs and handle supplies as needed.

Experience



A genuine passion for dogs and a dedication to their wellbeing. Previous experience in animal care (dog daycare, pet sitting, shelters, etc.). Knowledge of dog behaviour, breed characteristics, and group play dynamics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ofqual Level 3 qualification in animal management or equivalent. First Aid for Pets certification is preferred.
