The chosen applicant will need to be able to work independently in a busy environment. They should have knowledge of many aspects of pet grooming and be able to groom many breeds of dogs from start to finish in a professional and efficient manner.

A grooming qualification or equivalent experience of working in a grooming environment is required.

This position will require alternate Saturday working on a rota. The candidate must be flexible to provide cover for staff absence / holidays as well.

We are able to accommodate a full or part-time position depending on the candidate.

Wage negotiable dependant on skills & experience.

When not grooming, the chosen applicant will be required to work in the main shop and with all aspects of customer service and animal welfare standards.

The successful candidate must be willing to learn new skills as required and have a positive approach to dealing with customers.

Grooming duties will involve:

greeting customers and assessing their need performing health-check on pets bathing pets styling / clipping / scissoring de-matting brushing cutting nails taking photos for social media maintaining groom room cleanliness and equipment maintaining customer records encouraging repeat visits and reviews
