We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and appearance of pets, while also delivering outstanding customer service to pet owners.
Duties
Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling for various breeds of dogs and cats.
Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, identifying any health issues that may require veterinary attention.
Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly sanitised after each use.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and provide recommendations for care.
Handle pets with care and compassion, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process.
Assist in managing appointments and maintaining accurate records of services provided.
Lift and carry pets as needed, ensuring their safety during transitions between areas.
Experience
Previous experience in pet grooming or animal care is highly desirable.
A background in veterinary services or customer service will be advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their pets.
A genuine passion for animal welfare and grooming practices is essential.
